Tactile Keyboards
These keyboard consists of a glass epoxy Printed Circuit Board (PCB), with a metal dome mounted on it. When pressed the metal domes travel to make the contact with the electrode on the PCB. The metal domes are available in variety of diameters from 6mm to 20mm.

A highly reliable contact can be achieved by using a gold plated domes/PCBs. These keyboards are ideal for application where users need the feedback, to recognize whether the contact is achieved or not.

Non-Tactile Keyboards
These keyboards consist of top layer made of a thin layer of heat stabilized polyester with conductive silver contacts on it. The bottom layer is a PCB with an actual circuit on it.
When pressed the top layer travels to make a contact with the bottom layer PCB. In this case the actuation force can be designed from 150 grams to 350 grams, by using different layers of spacers. The advantage of this construction is the life span of the end product, you can achieve upto 4 million actuations per key. In this construction, you have to provide an audio or a visual indication to recognize whether the contact has been made or not.

Embossed keyboards
These keyboards consist of a top layer made up of either a thin layer of heat stabilized polyester or an overlay of 150 micron thickness with conductive silver contacts on it. This construction is ideal, where you require an optimum life per key & also whre you wish to have soft travel & good aesthetics.

Keys can be embossed in custom shapes & seizes using a custom made tool to meet your personalized requirement.
