Silicon rubber switches are most suitable for the fast entry applications, these can be made in variety of customised shapes and colours and hence are different than the other switches. The Silicon layers are sandwiched with the Non -Tactile keyboard in such a way that the keyboard is sealed from the dust and liquid attacks. Silicon rubber keyboards can be sandwiched with regular Tactile or Non - Tactile Membrane Keyboard so that one can avoid the heavy tool cost for the injection moulded enclosure to mount these keyboards.
These can be illuminated to view in dark and hence are best suitable for Medical equipments and Military applications.
