LOCA & OCA Lamination

Optical Bonded Touchscreen Displays

Introducing our high-performance optical bonded touchscreen displays, designed to deliver exceptional clarity and ruggedness in high-ambient and direct sunlight environments. By eliminating the air gap between the display panel and the touch sensor overlay using premium Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive (LOCA/OCR) or dry film (OCA), we reduce internal light reflections down to 0.2%. This prevents dust/moisture ingress and internal fogging, while enhancing mechanical impact absorption (up to IK09).

Premium optical lamination for high readability

Extreme Reflection Reduction

Replaces the internal air gap with a refraction-matched index adhesive, lowering internal reflection from 4.5% to under 0.2%.

Fogging & Condensation Prevention

Fully sealing the space between display and cover glass prevents humidity buildup, eliminating display fogging in sub-zero or humid conditions.

Advanced Impact Absorption

The cured elastomeric optical adhesive layer acts as a shock absorber, increasing the display's mechanical resistance up to IK09.

Enhanced Sunlight Readability

Improves luminance efficiency and contrast ratios under direct sunlight without requiring excessive LCD backlight power.

Index-Matched Adhesives

Formulated with adhesives possessing refractive indexes (n ≈ 1.41 - 1.49) tailored to perfectly match PMMA, cover glass, and polarizer substrates.

UV & Solar Radiation Stability

Employs non-yellowing polyurethane and silicone adhesives tested under intensive UV chamber exposures to ensure long-term clarity.

Lamination Engineering

Precision display bonding technology

Optical bonding is the process of applying a layer of transparent adhesive between the touch sensor panel and the LCD cell. Standard displays have an air gap that causes multiple light refractions, reducing readability and letting in moisture. Keetronics uses Class 100 cleanroom environments and automated liquid dispensing systems to laminate display stacks, resulting in a single solid-state assembly with premium optical performance.

  • Class 100 Cleanroom environments for defect-free lamination
  • Precision liquid LOCA/OCR dispensing for irregular or curved glass profiles
  • Dry film OCA lamination for high-throughput flat glass applications
  • Intelligent UV curing chambers to prevent mechanical stress or display damage

Lamination methodologies

OCA
Dry Film OCA Lamination

Uses micro-thin pre-cut pressure-sensitive sheet adhesives, ideal for flat, high-volume capacitive screens.

LOCA
Liquid LOCA OCR Lamination

Liquid resin dispensing that conforms to uneven surfaces, bezel frames, and 3D display curves.

UV
UV Cure Optimization

Tailored ultraviolet wave exposure profiles that cure the adhesive layers uniformly without inducing thermal stress.

AR
Anti-Reflective Cover Glass

Enhances the optical bond by adding a micro-thin metal oxide layer to the front cover glass to cancel reflections.
