The KT 42 Tactile Metal Dome Keyboard is designed for applications where space is limited but performance and reliability are critical. Constructed using a durable glass epoxy PCB with precision-mounted metal domes, the keyboard ensures consistent electrical contact and clear tactile feedback with every key press.
Metal domes are available in diameters ranging from 6 mm to 20 mm, allowing flexibility in actuation force and design. Gold-plated domes and PCB options are available to enhance conductivity and long-term reliability. With a lifecycle of more than 1 million operations, the KT 42 performs reliably under vibration, temperature variation, and high humidity conditions.
The keyboard supports IP54 and IP67 front-side protection, making it suitable for industrial environments. Additional customization options include EMI/RFI shielding, UV hard-coated display windows, SMD components, embossing in various shapes, phosphorescent lighting, and relegendable legend pockets. Its slim and compact footprint makes it ideal for handheld devices, instrumentation panels, and space-constrained OEM applications.
