Product Information
The KT 66 Metal Dome Tactile Membrane Keyboard is designed for applications that demand accurate tactile feedback and dependable electrical performance. Built on a glass epoxy PCB with precision-mounted metal domes, this keyboard ensures consistent actuation and reliable contact.
When a key is pressed, the metal dome collapses and makes contact with the electrode on the PCB, providing clear tactile confirmation to the operator. Metal domes are available in various diameters ranging from 6 mm to 20 mm, allowing flexibility in actuation force and key response. For enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance, gold-plated domes and PCBs are available as optional configurations.
With an operating voltage of up to 24 V DC and a tactile life expectancy of one million operations, the KT 66 is engineered for durability in demanding environments. It operates effectively across a temperature range of -18°C to +70°C and withstands high humidity and vibration conditions.
Front-side protection is available up to IP67, making it suitable for industrial, medical, and instrumentation applications where dust and moisture resistance are important. Additional customization options such as EMI/RFI shielding, UV hard-coated windows, phosphorescent lighting, SMD components, and relegendable pockets make this keyboard adaptable to specialized design requirements.
The KT 66 offers a compact form factor with robust construction, making it ideal for control panels, industrial equipment, and electronic devices that require tactile assurance and long-term reliability.
