Product Information
The KT 57 Metal Dome Tactile Membrane Keyboard is engineered for applications that require precise tactile feedback and highly reliable electrical contact. Built using a glass epoxy PCB with mounted metal domes, the keyboard ensures consistent actuation and long operational life.
When a key is pressed, the metal dome collapses and makes contact with the electrode on the PCB, providing clear tactile confirmation to the user. Metal domes are available in diameters ranging from 6 mm to 20 mm, allowing flexibility in design and actuation feel. For enhanced performance and corrosion resistance, gold-plated domes and PCBs are available as optional configurations.
The keyboard supports operation up to 24V DC and is designed for industrial-grade reliability. With a life expectancy of up to one million tactile operations and an activation force between 280 and 350 grams, it delivers accurate feedback in demanding environments.
Designed to withstand harsh conditions, the KT 57 offers operating temperatures from -18°C to +70°C, high humidity tolerance, vibration resistance, and front-side protection up to IP67. Optional EMI/RFI shielding, UV hard-coated display windows, phosphorescent lighting, and relegendable pockets allow further customization for specialized applications.
This keyboard is ideal for industrial control panels, instrumentation systems, medical devices, and other equipment where dependable tactile response and durability are critical.
